Garage conversion to one-bedroom

The client’s mother is planning to sell her house and move closer. However, the client didn’t want her mother living inside the main house, but was open to having her nearby. Due to unusual setback restrictions on their lot, it wasn’t possible to build a new structure. So we decided to convert the existing garage into a one-bedroom apartment and create a new parking space in front of the former garage. The garage is being transformed into a fully functional home for the mother, with a bedroom, bathroom, and access to a living room space. It was hard for the client’s mother to visualize the new space, so we created a 3D model and a VR walkthrough. There’s even a video in the project folder showing her exploring the space in VR and commenting on what she likes and doesn’t like. Right now, we’re in the permitting phase, and construction is set to begin in the next couple of months.
