General Contractor in Lakewood, CO
Lakewood’s housing stock runs the full range — 1940s Applewood bungalows on one end, 1970s and 80s Green Mountain ranches on the other. Both have renovation needs. Both require a contractor who knows what they’re getting into before demolition starts. Arch Design & Build is a licensed general contractor and design-build firm serving Lakewood and the surrounding Jefferson County area
What We Build
From single-room remodels to full home renovations and additions. Every project starts with a free in-home consultation and ends with a fixed-price contract
How We Work
1
Free In-Home Consultation
We visit the property, assess the scope, and give you honest answers about what the project actually requires. Applewood homes from the 1940s and 50s need a different conversation than a 1978 Green Mountain ranch — we’ve had both many times
2
Design
Full architectural drawings for your project. Once you sign a contract, we build a VR walkthrough so you see the finished result before construction starts
3
Permitting
We manage every application, structural engineering stamp, and inspection through Denver Community Planning and Development. Start to finish
4
Construction
Our crews. Our schedule. One fixed price. Single point of contact through final walkthrough
Licensed, Bonded, and Insured in Colorado
We carry general liability insurance — which means if something goes wrong on your property during the project, you’re covered. We provide our license number and certificate of insurance before you sign anything
Why Arch Design & Build
Most contractors execute plans someone else designed. You're the go-between for the architect and the builder — and when they disagree, it's your problem. We operate differently. Architect, structural engineer, and construction team under one roof and one contract. The design is built to be constructed, not handed off. That eliminates the most common failure points in residential renovation: scope gaps, miscommunication, and budget surprises
In-house structural engineering — no third-party delays on permits
VR previews before construction starts
Daily on-site crews
One team, one contract, one fixed price
Licensed, bonded, and insured in Colorado
Where We Work in Lakewood
We work throughout Lakewood — Applewood, Green Mountain, Belmar, Solterra, and surrounding neighborhoods. Primary service zip codes: 80228 and 80215
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I verify a contractor is licensed in Colorado?
Through the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA). We provide our license number upfront — before you commit to anything.
What's the difference between a general contractor and a design-build firm?
A GC builds what someone else designed. A design-build firm does both under one contract. Your architect and builder are the same team — the design is always buildable and the budget is set before construction begins.
Do you work on occupied homes?
Yes. We phase work to keep your home livable and the job site contained. That planning happens before the project starts, not mid-construction.
How do I get an accurate quote?
We come to you. Free in-home assessment, no obligation. We look at the actual space and give you a fixed number.
